The 2008 ATRA Consumer Marketing Report is based on the information gathered from transmission shop owners and consumers through three studies:
- ATRA’s 2008 Industry marketing study of transmission shop owners
- Two consumer focus groups commissioned by ATRA and conducted by Roadmap Market Research
- An internet study of consumers, all having had major auto repair within a 1-year period prior to the study. This study was conducted by Roadmap Market Research.
The purpose of the studies was to examine the marketing programs of transmission shops and determine the general success of each of them. This coupled with the results from the two customer studies offered an insight to better ways to reach today’s consumers and grow your business; "repeat and referral”.
This report details the finding from the industry and consumer studies and then offers a conclusion and best practices based on these findings.
